Danny Nicholson

Ralph D. Nicholson, known by friends as Danny, was born on August 31, 1949. Danny grew up in Madison County and graduated from MCHS in 1967. He served our country in the military and was honorably discharged in 1971. Danny then went to work for Fairfax County, where he retired from their Environmental division in 2004 after 26 years of service. He rededicated his life to the Lord on Easter Sunday of 1986 and married Cheryl Bowler in August of 1986. Cheryl and Danny served at Open Door Baptist Church in Culpeper, VA for 18 years as Children’s Church directors and Sunday School superintendent. They took an opportunity to partner with The Summit launch team in 2008 and have been serving the Lord with the Summit since then. Danny sums it all up by saying, “God is good all the time and has blessed us immensely.”

Jody Shelatz

Jody was born and raised in western Pennsylvania, near Meadville. After graduating from Conneaut Lake High School, he attended Grove City College. While at Grove City College, he met and fell in love with his excellent wife, Cammie. After graduating from Grove City, he had the privilege and opportunity to serve as a camp director, a software programmer, a business consultant, a church staff member, a general contractor and a legal case manager. God has afforded Jody the honor of being the father to Branden, Hannah and Meghan, which is a blessing on a daily basis.

Jeff Utz

Jeff was born in 1965 and has spent most of his life in Madison. He graduated from Madison High in 1983 and attended VA Tech before graduating from James Madison University in 1988 with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He has spent his career in the building material business as a sales representative and currently works at Builders First Source in Culpeper. Jeff married Debbie in 1995; they have two daughters, Taylor and Rachel. Jeff started attending church on a regular basis in 2000 at Alum Spring in Culpeper and was baptized in 2007. Jeff and Debbie were a part of The Summit launch team. Hobbies include motorcycling, boating, camping, and golf, but Jeff enjoys spending time with his family the most.
