Children

True North is The Summit’s children’s ministry where kids, birth through fifth grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in creative and relevant ways. We want to create fun ways for kids to learn about Jesus so they’ll want to come back!

  • True North Elementary for children in kindergarten through 5th grade features high-energy music, dynamic teaching, small group time, multi-media, and games to bring home the truth of the Bible in a way that connects with your child.
  • True North Preschool is the place for your younger child (ages 2 through pre-k) to have fun connecting with God and others through music, movement, crafts, and hands-on Bible stories.
  • Tiny True North for babies and walkers, where your littlest ones will receive excellent, loving care.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our teaching volunteers have a passion for teaching your children about Christ and to see your child become His disciple. Each one is highly dedicated and views the opportunity to serve children and families as a privilege. Prior to becoming a teacher all volunteers go through a background check, meet with a True North leader and shadow in a classroom of their choice. Please contact Lisa DeCourcey (Lisa@SummitMadison.org) if you are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities in True North.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Safety and security are key ingredients to the True North experience. Upon check-in, you will be given a security tag. Children cannot be picked up by an adult without the security tag that is given at check-in. Parents can be notified at any time in the worship service if they are needed in the children’s area.

TIPS AND REMINDERS FOR PARENTS

1.  Arrive at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the service so that you can enjoy the entire service.
2.  Please label your child’s belongings before you arrive (bags, bottles, pacifiers).
3.  Please do not include extra food (unless needed for an allergy) in your diaper bag. We will provide your child with a snack during their time with us.
4.  To ensure the health of children and volunteers, we ask that sick children not attend True North.
5.  Safety and Security is of utmost importance to us. You must have the security tag with you to pick up your children after the service.

Please contact Lisa@SummitMadison.org with any questions, comments or concerns. We look forward to hearing from you!
