2011 Uganda Mission Trip Information
When: Thursday, January 13 through Wednesday, January 26, 2011
Where: Uganda (Africa)
Cost: approximately $2,200 (may be adjusted up or down a little depending on airfare costs)
Scope of trip:
- Pastor Training: We will be offering basic doctrine and theology instruction for approximately 200 prospective African planters/pastors. We hope to commission them info ministry at the end of the week.
- Evangelistic Crusade: In the evenings, we will have the opportunity to present a Gospel-focused service to the people of the town where we’ll be staying.
Other possible activities (dependent on the composition of the team):
- Teacher Training: We would like to help train some of the people in the basics of leading Life Groups and teaching Sun day School classes.
- Medical Clinic: We may have an opportunity to do some very basic medical screening and provide some over-the-counter medications. (This would depend upon the participation of medically trained people).
- Vacation Bible School: the children are on break from school during our visit. We may do a kids’ program during the day.
- Widows Home: We are in contact with a home for widows in a nearby town. We may spend a day there. Could offer a medical clinic and/or one-day kids’ program.
